Long Island Sober Living for Men in Early Recovery
If you are looking for sober living, sober homes, or a sober house on Long Island, you are in the right place. Integrity Sober Homes operates men’s recovery housing in Freeport and Uniondale in Nassau County, just minutes from our outpatient clinic in Baldwin. Most guests come from across Nassau County and western Suffolk County and pair sober living with an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), or weekly individual therapy at Integrity Treatment Partners.
Long Island Sober Living Benefits
Recovery housing helps guests stay connected to support, build healthy routines, and follow through with treatment plans. Research consistently shows structured peer support and 12-step facilitation improve abstinence outcomes for alcohol use disorder.
21% more likely to stay sober at 1 year
A major Cochrane Review found people in AA or 12-step programs were 21% more likely to stay completely sober at one year compared with other clinical treatments.

The same review found 12-step participants were 66% more likely to stay sober at 6 months and 37% more likely at 2 years compared with other treatment approaches.
Source: Cochrane Review, 2020 ↗Real-world accountability
Sober living creates daily structure (curfews, meetings, house expectations) that supports treatment attendance and reduces exposure to high-risk environments.
Community integration
Guests build peer relationships and a sober network that make it easier to stay engaged in recovery long after formal treatment ends.

Sober House vs Sober Home vs Halfway House
People search for these terms interchangeably, but they refer to subtly different settings. Here’s how Integrity Sober Homes fits.

How Sober Living Complements Our Outpatient Programs
The strongest recovery plans don’t treat housing and treatment as separate problems. When sober living and outpatient care work together, guests get both: a stable home environment and proven clinical care.
- IOP + structure: A supportive home helps guests show up consistently for Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) schedules, groups, and accountability work.
- MAT + stability: For guests in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), sober living can reduce triggers and support medication adherence.
- Recovery community: House expectations (meetings, sponsorship, step-work) keep guests engaged in recovery supports between therapy sessions.
Ready to take the next step?
Verify eligibility, reserve a spot, or ask questions about recovery housing after rehab. If you’re also looking for outpatient care (IOP, MAT, therapy), our team can help coordinate a seamless transition.
